As an IT guy and gamer myself ,especially DOTA 2, my drives tend to fill up quite quickly but I had no idea just how big DOTA 2 is.
So I recently ran into some space issues on my laptop and needed to move steam games to another drive.
There is a manual way but I thought I would quickly share this quick, simple and effective way of doing.
- Navigate to http://www.stefanjones.ca/steam/ and download the SteamTool Library Manager 1.1
- Install the application. Its as simple as double clicking the application and clicking next all the way through. Choose to open the app when complete.
- Select your game or games and create a destination folder. In my case D:\Steam
- When Read simply click the Start Button
- This step could take a while so be patient.
- Once complete You should see Success
- Open up Dota 2 , COD , CSGO or any other steam game and you should be good to go
